Report where the county’s hospital and college property-tax mills go, in the county’s annual report

A petition to County Judge Troy Tucker and the Clark County Quorum Court (11 justices of the peace), started by Brayden Sanders, founder of County Commons on 2026-10-25.
0 of 400 neighbors0%

At 400 signatures it’s printed, with the count by town, and handed to County Judge Troy Tucker and the Clark County Quorum Court (11 justices of the peace) at a public meeting.

Why it matters

The state’s 2025 millage report lists 1 mill each, countywide, for the hospital and for the college. At Clark County’s assessed value, one mill is roughly $346,000 a year. Neither levy appears in the county’s 2026 budget ordinance, and the documents gathered so far don’t name who receives the money. We ask the county to report both, each year, in its annual report.

What’s happened

Raised by residents — not yet carried to the county.

This is a petition to your elected officials — like the clipboard at the courthouse door. It does not put anything on the ballot; in Arkansas and most states that takes ink signatures from registered voters. Signatures are counted, not verified — one per browser; the delivered copy removes duplicates. Like everything here, petitions can’t campaign for candidates or ballot measures, or name county staff.
