Require Arkansas agencies to publish purchase-card spending item by item

Oklahoma posts its state purchase-card transactions online, searchable by merchant and item and updated monthly. Ohio’s OhioCheckbook put state transactions online. A U.S. Government Accountability Office review found 41–48% of sampled federal purchase-card transactions failed basic controls. We ask Arkansas lawmakers to require state agencies to publish purchase-card spending item by item.

When it reaches the goal it’s handed to the officials named above at a public meeting, and their answer is posted online. This is a petition to your elected officials — like the clipboard at the courthouse door. It does not put anything on the ballot; in Arkansas and most states that takes ink signatures from registered voters. Names are never shown publicly.
